Today The Shop continues to work with a variety of performers, and not just magicians but others such as dancers, who have wanted to incorporate some sort of magical effect or illusion into their presentation. We have many years of stage management experience that can positively assist your next production.

Both university level and community theatre groups have benefited from our knowledge and assistance.  In addition, we have worked with theatrical groups and theatres across the nation assisting productions wanting to add that special something to their live performances, plays, musicals, and even ballet groups.

Private Lessons / Performance Coaching

The wonderful thing about learning magic is that age is not a limiting factor. Young or old, it doesn’t matter, both have the ability to learn magic.  Over the years we have helped people of all ages that always wanted to learn to do a couple of tricks to amuse their friends or family. In certain circumstance learning and performing several magic tricks can foster better self esteem in people of all ages and walks of life. Magic fascinates most people and by mastering some of the fundamentals of the art, one can provide hours of entertainment to friends, family, business associates, and the general public, etc...

The Magic Shop can provide lessons based on what you want to learn or help improve on the tricks you already perform.  These lessons are usually conducted right here in the shop after the shop closes for the day and are by appointment only.

Pricing for lessons are based upon the nature of the lessons, how long you want  to work on the effects or skills you want to develop.  Generally speaking sessions would generally run in 1 hour increments. Our staff is experienced in all fields of performing magic professionally. We can provide instruction and consultation for acts of all types.

Group Instruction / Performance Theory

For occasions where you might want a group of people to learn a magic effect, or series of effects, we can design personalized on-site training sessions to teach groups of all sizes and ages ranging from kids to adults.

We will design our training around the skill level of your group and the goals you are attempting to achieve. We supply all the instruction and props, you supply the magic students with an interest in learning.  The props required for these group lessons would be included with the quoted price at the time of the event booking.  Also, these props would be supplied from our most trusted vendors to insure quality of the items your group would own.

Past events have included private parties, birthday events, some people have even based a evening party on having the guests all learn a magic trick or two. Beginner level effects can be taught to a range of children from day care students through primary school ages.  We have also worked with and lectured to various clown groups on the effective usage of magic effects for quality comedy purposes.
